Hellebores

Hellebores are fanciful, easy-care perennials for the shade that tolerate drought and are highly deer and rabbit resistant because they are poisonous. One of the first perennials to bloom in spring, hellebore ensures no-fuss color for the shade. Do you have hellebores.

“Tricolor” Goblet Shaped Flower

Photographer Rosie Nixon given the name 'Tricolor' due to its purple-lilac goblet shaped which also has a band of white and yellow at the base. I have quite a few of these in flower in the garden but during the winter months it's not easy to take the image outdoors. Photographer Rosie gets the pictures and picked which can explore them with a macro lens indoors. Rosie captured this image just as the heat of the room was encouraging the crocus to open its goblet shaped flowers and reveal its nectar.
